Welcome to a light-hearted and delicious dining experience,
thanks to a choice of hip restaurants and bars at Tamassa. Choose
from romantic candlelit dinners under the stars to theatrical
culinary shows where wood fired pizza and local delicacies play the
leading attraction, culminating in moody cocktails and exotic
aperitifs for late night revellers. Let the performance begin.
Show (7 a.m to 10 p.m / 12 p.m to 3 p.m / 7 p.m to 10
p.m)
The main restaurant, Show offers buffet breakfasts, lunches, and
dinners. The open kitchen will add a spark of excitement to your
night, as you watch the chefs flamboyantly preparing a range of
dishes. Fresh fruits, salads and pizza are perennially popular,
while three other food stations focus on European, South-East Asian
and either Indian or Lebanese cuisines. And when you've had your
fill, you may want to extend your focus to a nightcap at La Playa
Beach Bar.
Playa (noon to 3 p.m / 7 p.m to 10 p.m )
As the name suggests, you can get up to all sorts of mischief
here. In a relaxed al fresco setting, listen to the sounds of the
ocean, wriggle your toes in the sand, and successfully navigate the
Mediterranean-inspired menu. There is also a popular set-menu
option featured once a week, complimented by an inventive selection
of cocktails and local rums. In the evenings, dinners are an à la
carte feast.
B Bar (9 a.m to midnight)
Here you'll find a bright and cheerful lounge, with steel and
glass fittings, armchairs around the bar and a bit of dancing. Show
up for lunch to munch on original appetizers, such as raspberry
gaspacho or Thai prawns with ginger and lemon comfits. By
nightfall, consider making your presence felt around the bar, where
you'll get to know some excellent Mauritian rums and other alluring
concoctions.
Jalsa Night Club
If you're planning on leading the kind of evening that requires a
cocktail or three, then head to Jalsa night club. Tamassa is the
first beach resort in the South to have its own club and late night
partygoers can expect cool beats, decadent black leather seating,
over-sized red cushions and lots of mirrors.
Beach and Room Service
It's not a truly perfect island holiday unless you're being served
deliciously refreshing treats while lounging beside the pool, ocean
or in the comfort of your room. Make the most of your stay with our
beach and room service facilities.
Private Dining
If you'd like to enjoy a little privacy, either with your partner
or perhaps an intimate party for family and friends, Tamassa offers
an array of private dining alternatives to make your meal extra
special. Enjoy a secluded soiree or a sumptuous lunch for two on
the beach.
Evening Entertainment
At Tamassa, we don't do ordinary. All of our entertainment is
performed by genuine, enthusiastic and highly talented dancers,
musicians and artists of every kind. From the rhythmic beat of the
Mauritian Sega to the very best local music troupes and performers,
every evening is an opportunity to experience something new and
truly authentic.
Dress Code
Although there's no particular dress code during the day, we do
ask you not to wear uncovered swimming attire in the restaurant
during breakfast time. Evening wear is smart-casual after 6pm. And
gentlemen, no flip-flops or shorts in the restaurants and bars
during dinnertime please.
